I’ve wondered for a while if anybody wants there to be baby Endermen in Minecraft so I thought I’d do a poll for it.
Who wants baby Endermen?
Yes, that would be adorable (baby ones won’t attack if looked at)
Nope, they’d be annoying
Other opinions/explanations in tags
Maybe some Endermen would have a chance of spawning as a baby, like how some zombies spawn as babies (except baby Endermen don’t attack).
(Still not sure if baby zombies or baby zombie villagers are actually babies…I sure hope not though)
This is just for fun but maybe baby Endermen would drop items for the player sometimes, the way foxes do if traded with, but you don’t always have to give them something first. They just see the player and might drop something, the way adult Endermen hold blocks for a while and then put them down. They’re trying to mimic their parents when they drop things for the player.
Baby Endermen only show up with their parents and if a player attacked the parents (babies can’t be attacked) they’d just teleport away with their baby.
Some things baby Endermen hold:
Flowers
Mushrooms
Pumpkins
Gold blocks
Podzol
Bamboo sprouts
Obsidian blocks
Dirt blocks
There’s a high chance the baby Enderman will eat mushrooms they find or ones they’re holding since mushrooms are a big part of their diet in Dark Oak Forests.
Creepy/Horror Minecraft Mobs
Creepers; Witches whose experiments backfired on them. Not technically undead these mutated witches can survive in the sunlight. And the potent mixtures of their potions brew within their body and can explode if they feel threatened.
Zombies; Undead humanoids damaged in various ways from the elements and fighting with other zombies or mobs. Rumors spread through villages that each instance of a zombie is just another player who died.
Endermen; Insectoid realm hoppers. Their home of the End is a collapsed universe, but the question of if they are the original inhabitants is unanswered. They have a second pupil that protects them from reading minds of creatures they don't want to read.
Silverfish; Fuck these guys
Guardians; Mechanical beasts of the deep. Fuck them and their slow mining curse
Blaze; Wither skeletons that have been set ablaze by the Nether's natural heat, and then learned to shoot fireballs
Warden; FUCK THESE GUYS
Magma Cube; Lava gained life
Ghast; So THAT'S where the flying squid went
endermen biology and lore!
these are my silly little headcanons that i’ve accumulated over a couple days of research of what is actually physically/biologically possible (before throwing some of that out of the window because. hey, it’s magic okay?)

Headcanon time (haven't done this in a while):
The End has more than just simple, "circular" obsidian pillars, which is what a player is theorized to see when they go into the End. The ten pillars are a complicated network, spanning twenty-four blocks from one end to the other. Aside from carrying the end crystals, they are also a place for endermen to communicate with the dragon. Or, more specifically, for the dragon to "communicate" with the endermen. Obsidian is a great conductor for the end crystals' power. Along with being able to heal the dragon, the crystals also posses the rather creepy ability to control endermen via sending sparks of magic through obsidian.
Inside the pillars are places for endermen to stand — essentially waiting rooms for recharging the dragon's mind-control. There are also monster spawners, where "baby" endermen pop out and are immediately placed under control.
Nether portals will occasionally appear in the Overworld whenever there is a command block malfunction/overheat and the thin peace between the two realms gets disrupted. In similar fashion, End pillars will also appear. This is how endermen, an End-dwelling creature, are frequently spotted in the Overworld, as the pillars carry an average of eighteen spawners.
Freakily enough, endermen in the Overworld are still under the dragon's control (as the end crystal on top of the pillars control their minds and link them to the dragon's). However, the separation between realms makes the connection between the dragon and the Overworld-spawned endermen very weak.
Due to the fact that endermen are spawned, not birthed, endermen do not have reproductive needs, instincts, or parts. According to the few endermen who have managed to learn English, endermen also lack a gender. This unfamiliarity to the concept of gender led many humans to believe that endermen were panromantic/biromantic. It was confirmed a few hundred years after the theory was proposed by an endermen with the name of ∷ᔑリʖ𝙹𝙹.
Over the course of centuries, research into endermen has ceased. The last biggest find was that endermen could be polyamorous. According to リᔑᒲᒷ, some endermen are polyamorous while others are not.
tldr: Starburst headcanons endermen as agender, asexual, panromantic, and sometimes polyamorous mobs because reasons
My mind has been occupied by Endermen Mumbo and because of that I now have Endermen hcs. Yay.
So endermen sometimes get trapped in the over world or nether. This happens when they are cut off from the end. This is still okay for grown endermen, but at least it isn't necessarily deadly. For non adult endermen however it can be deadly. All endermen need the magic of the end to survive and when they are stranded and cut off from the end they do not have access to that magic. The adults are able to live because they no longer use up the magical end energy and instead can sustain themselves on other things along with the magic. Children however burn through the magic extremely quickly as they are still growing and with no constant flow of end magic they can "burn out". For them to then survive and grow they need to find a new source of magic to feed them while they grow. These magic sources are never as potent as end magic and the endermen will then have to continuously use this magic to keep them alive for the rest of their lives.
I'll use this as a basis for future mumbi and maybe ranboi aus.
I’m doing a little Minecraft ‘hostile’ mob headcanons series, and I’m gonna do Endermen first cause I have the most headcanons for them, okay? Okay, lets go. Enderman eyes are on the range of blues to pinks in terms of color, and each color is unique. Not only that, but they work like cat eyes. When they’re docile, or when they’re excited about something, they look like dumbasses. (Cute dumbasses, but still) Endermen also have small axolotl-like gill-bits below their ears, however rather than using them to breath, they operate more like cat whiskers, able to sense temporal rifts so they can teleport between dimensions without the aid of a Stronghold’s portal, or a Nether portal. (Not saying cats can travel between dimensions though LMAO) These bits are also the same color as their eyes.
Enderman are OBVIOUSLY draconic with snake-like scales, but they have fine (Almost like down) feathers that run from their head, down their back, and to short (only knee length) tails. Endermen are digitigrade and have deer-like hooves (Cus deer are also cute)
These feathers are in the shades from blues to pinks/reds, just like their eyes. Many style their hair with beads (made from metals or even shulker shells) and it’s another signifier for who an Enderman is to others.
Endermen don’t get names until they are older, and they choose their name. It’s a very important process for Enderman as until they choose their name they are simply referred to by their birth order (And thusly until then they are unable to style their own hair or clothing.) Some choose things relating to the void, others the very Endstone they stand on, others the stars within the void, it’s a toss up of what they choose and what it may relate to. The clothes they make are out of the bark of Chorus trees, the bark being very stretchy, flexible, and thin. It can also be layered to make armor similar to leather (Where they normally stamp their name into.) They can also make an ice-cream equivalent by mixing mashed up Chorus fruit and the softer inner Chorus tree and leaving it to freeze for some time within End stone “freezers” Endermen have small fangs akin to fruit bats so they can pierce the tough flesh of Chorus fruit (They’re omnivores and can also eat Shulkers, which I imagine taste like oysters or clams, but they prefer Chorus fruit) The dragon is their matriarch, obviously, but rather than being a typical queen who makes laws, she simply protects the Endermen from those she sees as a danger to them (aka, the player.)
The dragon also lives for centuries, and her egg takes nearly her entire life after she lays it to hatch into the next queen (Who due to the End crystals, has the previous queen’s memories.) Endermen actually communicate via telepathy when you look into their eyes (Which is why looking into one without warning sends them into a frenzy, they can’t read the player’s mind) why do Endermen speak though? They’ve picked it up from other players before, and know that players are unable to understand their telepathy. Ender pearls are exactly that, pearls, they’re collected from Shulkers and when an Enderman wears one (Be it a ring, a necklace, or imbeded into metal from the Overworld) it grants them the ability to teleport (The reason they only need one is due to their telepathy as well.) Elytra are coveted items as many are made from the skin of the Ender Dragon’s wings when she dies. They take her remains and reuse them as a way to honor her. Her bones are crafted into many heads for ships, her bones are also used to make beads (The oldest Endermen have them and are revered) they even take her skin and use it for the end ships as well. The Endermen seen in the Overworld and Nether are basically scouts or travelers who collect items from both of those places for various reasons (blaze powder is good for many things, including keeping the End ships aloft) The End portal was also created by Endermen who teleported to the Overworld by accident, and met the ones who would eventually become the zombie variants, and the villagers, so began trading with them.
