skills development: summer edition

With the start of holidays and increased free time, I need something to focus on if I want to remain minimally productive and with that, I decided to challenge myself.

O1. Continue to develop my knowledge of Italian.

Use Duolingo daily (10-15 minutes class).

Study vocabulary.

Listen to music or watch movies to get used to the pronunciation.

Start practicing my pronunciation.

Weekly review.

O2. Learn to play the guitar.

Search for classes for beginners (online).

Learn the simplest scales.

Learn the chords.

Know the meaning of the "guidelines" and the location of each note.

Practice weekly (3x).

Learn three basic songs.

O3. Read four books about things that I want to learn, improve my skills about or that just captivated me.

(I decided to change the previous intro I have post on the beggining on the blog, because I made some changes).

So hello angels! I’m back. Although this studyblr is new, it isn’t my first experience in this community. But let me introduce myself.

A bit about me:

My name is Tânia.

She/her.

I’m 17 years old.

I live in Portugal, my home country.

I’m aquarian, a proud Divergent (Abnegation and Candor Traits) and INFJ-T.

I have a little rabbit called Buggy.

I’ll be a high school senior this year.

I speak Portuguese, English, a little of French and I’m currently learning Italian.

I’m very indecisive, so I haven’t decided what degree I want to follow, but my main options are: Nursing, Psychology or Physical Therapist.

Stuff I like:

Animals and plants.

Books: Some of my favorites are Divergent, Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl and The Girl on the Train.

Science! Especially chemistry, biology and psychology.

Cinema, I have a big passion for actresses of 50’s and 60’s decade.

Photography, this is a hobby that I haven’t been able to exploit very well because of the costs but it is something that I really enjoy.

Cappuccino, volleyball, cute stationery and mugs (I’m crazy about mugs, from the simplest standards to those with movie designs, characters, etc.)

This year, I’ll be taking:

Portuguese.

English.

Chemistry.

Maths.

I’ll Also Be Working On:

Final exams of Portuguese and Maths.

Apply for university.

Learning Italian.

Learning sigh language.

Some of my goals:

I want to see what I’m capable in academic levels.

Create good study habits.

Get into a college that’s a good fit for me.

Make new friends with the help of this amazing community.
