TODAY I LEARNED that fibromyalgia can cause severe tooth pain. 🔪🤪👄💦 I'm so fucking upset. I go to the endodontist (the dentist that handles root canals and monitors the condition of the roots of your teeth), I get all x-rayed in 3D, they poke around a bit to figure out which has pain (I know its # 14, the only one that already had a root canal in the past). The doctor shows me all my teeth and explains everything about them, and how on the x-ray it's completely normal. Clear roots, clear bone, clear nerves. So I'm not getting a root canal today, because there is no benefit to redoing it when everything on the x-ray says it's normal. 😕 Then the doctor asks why I'm taking certain meds, so I say for fibromyalgia, and he says it's not uncommon for people with fibromyalgia to experience nerve pain from pressure placed on the nerves around the teeth. Fuck my life. ☹ Fibromyalgia can literally fuck up everything. We're gonna try a round of antibiotics just to see if it helps for any potential infection that's not detectable on the x-ray, but honestly, I just had bloodwork done and my white blood cell count wasn't elevated at all. I DID have really high (3x normal) amount of inflammation present in my blood test though, so something is definitely fucking me up, but there's no way to fight something as diffuse of a concept as fibromyalgia. I clench my teeth so hard at night, I'm biting through my bite guard, so I don't know what else I can do to remedy this pain. 🖤 So. Just wanted to update y'all since I haven't posted about my health in a while. This has been the story of my life: have pain, get tests, tests say "idk", so there's nothing I can do, go home and cry. Adding daily panic attacks doesn't help the situation either. Life is hard. 🐉🐉🐉🐉 #fibromyalgia #fibro #autoimmune #spoonie #teeth #chronicpain #chronicillness #endodontist #me https://www.instagram.com/p/Cjq-0SMvxaf/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
