「Jellys of longing」

『EAT・EAT・EAT！展』で展示した作品です。私が昔見ていた外国のアニメでは、ごちそうの場面にゼリーが描かれていました。その彩やかさや通常家庭の食卓にはのぼらない物珍しさに、ゼリーというものに対してすごく期待と憧れを抱きました。その気持ちを思い出しながら多数のゼリーを描いたものです。

"Jellys of longing"

This work was exhibited at the exhibition 'EAT, EAT, EAT!'. In a foreign animation I used to watch, jellies were depicted in feast scenes. The colourfulness and rarity of this food, which does not usually appear on the home cooking, made me very excited about jelly and longed for it. A large number of jellies were drawn in remembrance of this feeling.
