More than 60% of Nigerians earn less than N40k per month while the price of food increases yearly. Right now a single bag of rice is N35,000 while an average person probably earns much less.

But if you manage to fight the system and become part of the 40% earning more, you get harassed or possibly killed by the Police because it just doesn't make sense to them that you're still thriving even with our death trap of an economy. You just HAVE to had gotten it illegally. It's like continuously pushing someone and wondering why they still get back up
