—————————————————— Dance (Red) Save Lives @red The third edition of Dance (RED) Save Lives, a charity compilation benefiting the Global Fund’s COVID-19 relief, is an exhilarating showcase of West African sounds. Assembled by Nigeria’s @mavinrecords , DJ/producer Don Jazzy, and British singer-songwriter Aluna (of the electronic duo AlunaGeorge), the project focuses on #Afrobeats, the infectious and lyrical dance-pop hybrid partially informed by hip-hop beats and sampling. Here, the sound is recast through the lens of house and techno, with remixes by some of dance music’s steadiest underground talents, including Felix da Housecat, UNIIQU3, TOKiMONSTA, and Michael Brun.
