Seems like Chaotix has a thing with jackals lately. Cna you give us any hcs or why you ship Enigma and Vector?

Ok so like what happened was that @sleepystar-andorea (she’s like genuinely one of the the nicest people I’ve ever met go check out her stuff) came to me like a week ago and was like “oh you like rarepairs I got one for you!” And prompted it to me and I’m like “oh I like the idea too but I’m nervous bc we don’t know anything about enigma!” But now I’m hooked.

The why? The criminal x cop dynamic. Literally one of my favorite tropes. The angst. The secrets. The back and forth banter.

I maaaayyy or may not have wrote her like a bunch of headcanons within an hour. And then made more. If you wanna read them, here.⬇️

Enigma putting on multiple personas and hiring the Chaotix not just because she wants a challenge but now it’s turning into an excuse to see Vector.

She sets up scenarios where she and Vector have to be alone together and it turns into really but not really dates.

She writes clues and letters for him to find but they get more and more romantic.

Espio and Charmy are starting to catch on and they want no part in it- “fuck no, solve this case yourself.”

Vector catches himself unintentionally smirking when she comes around but quickly fixes himself before the other two see.

Batman x catwoman vibes. -

Enigma tries to flirt with him and is surprised and nervous when Vector flirts back. (Espio and Charmy are standing behind a wall, absolutely exhausted by these dumbasses)

She immediately swoops in if Vector is getting his ass beat by someone that’s not her. That ass is hers to kick- (I’m so sorry-)

He starts studying Egyptian myth to analyze her costume and points out the mythical references in her outfit next time she drops by.

There’s been times where she’s be caught by him but she’s badly hurt so instead of taking her to jail, he takes her home and patches her up with the first aid kit. And maybe or maybe not he lets her sleep in her bed while he sleeps on the floor (she tries to leave before the other two wake up but Espio caught her one time and he almost threw up because he thought they ykyk)

He takes mental notes of similarities in her persona’s to pinpoint what she genuinely likes and dislikes and tries to gift her things based on that evidence (he guessed her favorite flowers correctly and she almost passed out)

They HAVE done the Spider-Man kiss because she tied Vector upside down when she was making her getaway (the other two found him with a stupid cartoony Lovestruck look)

Enigma somehow found out that Nite & Don were Vector’s caretakers, and they have a radio station (K-TBR 199.2). Now whenever Nite is doing a call request or talking to fans on-air, she always makes at least 1 call. She makes up a new voice so she’s not recognized. But she always picks songs Vector likes.

she has a catwoman-style studio apartment littered with things she’s stolen. She has 2 pet chao’s that hang out in that apartment, and they’re incredibly lazy, but they love Vector.

Vector accidentally stumbled into this apartment when chasing Enigma for one of her thefts. She was scared at first but then convinced herself to let him on “ooo his house is too far away. He’ll have to stay the night, oh noooo…” …but it backfired bc her bed is too small for him so he slept on the floor.

he has a key to the apartment now. He stops by at night at least 2 times a week.

when they cuddle, she likes to use his big ass hands as pillows. I mean look at those fucking things-

they both enjoy classic jazz/blues and slow dance to it.

he found out that he can scruff her if he’s mad at her, and she’s piiiiiissed when he does that.

Is it okay if I share headcanon of Enigma and Vector? It is only one by the way. You dont have to share this if you dont want.

Given the Enigma case is their first big case, I like to imagine this is before the Chaotix met Sonic and his friends including Vanilla and Cream. So I picture Enigma and Vector used to date each other but broken up as things gotten messy yet eventhough they broken up, they still care about each other and didnt mind playing the game together. Kinda like Batman and Catwoman relationship.

I also picture if Vanilla found out about their past relationship, she couldn't help but giggle that Vector has fun with his ex and didnt mind their game together. I also think that Enigma would tease Vector that she ended up with someone that could lay low but couldn't help but feel jealous about it yet didnt mind them together.
