Drawn to the Water: A Soulful Drive Through Firehole Canyon
I’ve always found myself drawn to water—especially running water.
There’s something about it: the sound, the movement, the way it breaks over rock, bursting with energy. As the water crashes and tumbles, electrons are released, charging the air and somehow, recharging me. It’s as if the river breathes life right back into my soul.
That’s exactly what happened the day I discovered Firehole Canyon Drive in Yellowstone National Park.
A Surprise Turn Toward Peace
I was driving north, unhurried and soaking in the rugged beauty of the landscape, when I saw the sign: Firehole Canyon Drive. It was a one-way road, easy to miss if you're not looking for it. But something in me knew—I needed to turn.
Canyons and rushing water go together. They speak to me. So I followed the winding road as it dipped into the canyon, tracing the edge of the Firehole River.
Suddenly, I was surrounded by towering walls of rhyolite volcanic rock, their striations marked by time and fire. The river—dark, swift, and untamed—cut through the canyon like it had somewhere to be. And yet, it seemed perfectly content to sing its wild, ancient song as it went.
A Place to Feel the Flow
I drove slowly, stopping at several pull-offs along the way. If only I could have climbed down near the edge more than once, just to feel the coolness of the water, to let the mist hit my skin. But I still could hear the roar in my ears. I stood still for a moment—just breathing. Listening.
There was a power in the rapids, a kind of music that only nature can compose. The Firehole River wasn’t just flowing—it was speaking.
And somewhere along that canyon, I found the place that recharged me.
If you’re ever in Yellowstone and need more than just a pretty view—if your soul needs stirring—take the turn onto Firehole Canyon Drive. Let the sound of rushing water break over you like a prayer. Let the wind carry your worries downstream. And let the rhythm of the river remind you:
You're not stuck. You're still moving.
Still flowing.
Still being shaped.

Sometimes its hard to have energy. Its even harder to have energy when you usually have very little energy. I understand this feeling entirely, and as a lover of baths I find this recipe nice. Of course its not practical if you need energy quick, but its a nice wind town or wake up ritual to get you energized.
Warning: Sensitive skin individuals should practice caution as citrus may agitate current skin issues. Be cognizant of how often you use harsher ingredients such a citrus.
Ingredients
Orange
Lime
Lemon
Epsom Salt
Herbs (Lavender, Peppermint, Parsley, Eucalyptus)
Mesh Bag/Tea Bag
Preparing
Cleanse your space, bath, and put up any additional wards required.
In a tea bag, or a mesh bag add your herbs. This recipe uses eucalyptus, parsley, peppermint, and lavender. If you intent to crush them down, do not crush them into a powder or too fine.
Tie off your mesh bag tightly or seal your tea bag. Remember to choose vessles which will allow for the ingredients to steep, but will minimize how many little pieces will escape.
Slice your citrus. I recommend half a orange, half a lemon, and a whole lime, but include as much citrus as you desire.
Casting the Spell
Run a warm bath. It should be warm enough to melt the salt nicely, but not to burn you. Add your Epsom salt as directed by the package. I do like two cups.
Once your salt has been added to the bath, add your citrus to the water while its still running. Remember to recite your spell or keep your intention strong during the entirety of the casting.
Lastly add your tea bag to the bath (I like to place mine with a small weighted object to keep in under and steeping). Keep your spell in the front of your mine, and enter your bath, welcoming the energy and rejuvenation.
Extra Tips
I like to burn incense in the space during the bath. Lavender is my go too.
Feel free to use music or other rejuvenation aids like a book, ect. Make sure to use what helps you relax.

A duos who wings were clipped tragically with the passing of one of its members. One half comprising of Jeffrey Sfire a DJ whos formative introduction to music scenes began in illegal warehouse dances in Detroit at age 15. Coming from a wealthier upbringing this escape from that brought him into new music scenes which he would use as an opportunity to delve into meeting DJs and musicians that would open up the doors of a new creative aural space. Honing his creativity he would develop the skills needed to be a DJ naturally and all before the age of 18 would be sneaking through the back of venues or using a fake ID so he could DJ afterhours in sleazy places. Late after hour parties and gay clubs were scenes that would take him in and foster a place for being able hone his live performances and would be the scenes that would lead him to collide with the other half of 'Sfire'. Rummaging through crates of records in stores and linking up with retired DJs would define his life after 18. As soon as he hit that age he would be off to Chicago a place that would have a profound impact on his musical palette after being introduced to the blood rushing scenes of high energy music like Italo Disco and other electronic sounds of the 1980s.

The other half of the duo being the late Sophie Xeon more known mononymously as SOPHIE, a trailblazing electronic musician of Avant-Pop. As a young child she would be played cassettes full of electronic music by her father that she would later steal from the car. At a very young age her father would also take her to raves and was someone who she described as having creative instincts that led to an ”ability to see into the future and not be about some bullshit nostalgia. Not someone that’s like, “Sixties, ’70s, this is the real rock and roll.” He was always like, “That was rubbish. Electronic music’s the future.”” https://www.lennyletter.com/story/sophie-interview
This would inspire her music influences all the way throughout her life. After being given a keyboard for one of her birthdays as a birthday gift she began locking herself away in her room as a form of escapism and would later want to drop out of school in pursuit of it (which never happened).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sophie_(musician)
Theres something unmistakable about her production where once youve heard you can recognize songs that shes worked on, a terrific feat for any electronic musician to have an obvious touch on tracks through their discography. The music is at the same time freeing as it is energizing bringing you up high and making you feel a range of emotions that can be translated onto the dance floor. Although this duo probably wont be releasing any more music after the tragic passing of Sophie, shes known for a tremendous back catalogue that has been known to leak on the internet.
Rest in peace SOPHIE.
Music has the ability to repair brain damage and return lost memories. Music does more than just put us in a good mood. It’s a wonder drug that sets a lot of things right: It energizes your mind, eases stress, evokes emotions and soothes your soul.
I rarely post anything political, but this is a great demonstration that someone like @pantone can make a big difference. And it warms my heart. #spoiledsplendid #ukraine #freedom #blue #energizing #yellow #pantone #color #paint #art https://www.instagram.com/p/CawB0xzLQM9/?utm_medium=tumblr
