Shard Bishop

Powers: Photokinetic absorption and projection icluding the production of concussive blasts, laser blasts and a source of illumination. Absorbing light also enhances her strength, agility and endurance.

Born in the 21st Century in an alternate future where the X-men were betrayed by one of their own and killed, Shard and her older brother Lucas Bishop were raised by their grandmother. After the death of their grandmother and joining the Xavier Security Enforcers (XSE) Shard fell victim to an ambush and was forced to kill mutants and use their energy to survive. In a later encounter Shard was killed by her brother to stop the monster she had become and her essence was transferred into a holographic matrix projector worn on the wrist of her brother.

When Bishop was stranded in the present day and a member of the X-men he programmed Shard’s matrix into cerebro, allowing holographic projections of Shard to appear in the X mansion. After destroying her matrix projector to sacrifice herself during battle a reaction occurred in the energy containment chamber and she was reformed as a photon-based life form who could move without being constrained by holographic projectors.

Shard then worked as a member of the X-Factor team for a while and managed to bring other members of the XSE back to the present day as well. She aided her brother one last time when she allowed him to completely absorb her photonic energy so that he could defeat the villain Chronomancer.

Wanted to draw up Kevin absorbing energy to fit the spooky month and stuff (*cough* as bad as it is for his osmosian body and all that), took a long time to finish but I like the result of it :) (Probably will do most of the fluffy stuff in the inktober entries)
