Over six and a half hours for the partnership, jfc? (Crawley in BBC interview after: “We ran out of things to talk about towards the end there!”) Also a long time for Chris Woakes to sit out there in his pads!
That little shoulder wiggle that Jos Buttler does sometimes before the bowler runs in. This isn’t new or anything, I just love it and we got to see a lot of it during that innings.
...because that was Jos’s longest innings to date (upwards of 7 hours batting) and his all-formats best score to date. (Jos afterwards: “Joe's given me a lot of confidence as a captain, and he has a lot of belief in me, and that's shone through.”)

He hits it and then looks down a bit, just looks up to make sure it has gone for six and then carries on doing what he’s doing. There are a lot of batsman who are very show-offy about hitting a six. Not Jos Buttler!”
