Blog Post #10
Throughout the semester I have done pretty well in most of my classes. I tend to focus on classes that I think are going to challenge me more which led to me doing well in some classes but slacking in others because I put too much focus on a single course. This has helped me master some harder classes such as Accounting but leaves me not knowing what is going on in simpler classes like history. I learned I need to balance my efforts pretty equally between my classes to ensure I do well in every class. I made the mistake of letting a few grades slip and it has hurt my GPA severely. I am most proud of being able to keep up with my accounting class because I will have to take the next level next semester. For my future I need to work on my planning and organization skills. Often times throughout the year I found myself forgetting an assignment simply because I did not realize it was due. This is a careless mistake that has effected all of my grades throughout my life and is something I need to improve upon moving forward. I believe this class has helped me analyze texts more thoroughly and find out the intended audience and why the author my have used the techniques he did to sway the audience one way or another. This class only hindered me when we had a paper close to my test days in Macro and Accounting because it became very hard for me to manage my time during those periods.
