Project: Interactive Graphic Novel “The Life of Mitya”

Project Description: Adopted from Dosdoyevsky’s “The Brothers Karamazov”, focusing on the Eldest Brother Mitya, also known as Dmitri.

Scene: Katerina found out that Mitya fell in love with Grushenka, and she decided to use money to test Mitya’s personality.

Points of Dissatisfaction:

 1. Panel strokes are not unified

 2.In page1, too many panels are too similar

 3.Work on a more sophisticated background

Ways to improve:

1. (1) Create the page layout with sketched content

    (2) Create another layer on top of the layout and draw all the panels on it     using the same size of strokes

    (3) Draw ink image on top of these two layers

2. Reference to Will Eisner’s Hamlet Monologue in Comics and Sequential Art

3. (1) Ask Bill how to improve the visual quality 

    (2) Finish a one page detailed panel before April 7th.
