It was a real casual thing. We'd been talking about moving in together and getting married legally because we're in an ldr so one of us would need a marriage visa due to health issues. "hey we're dating and both super don't care about legal marriage so why not!" until one day they were like "hey,, id actually like to have a life with you if youd like that. we could get married seriously because id love to spend the rest of my life with you." which is really fitting for our relationship lmao
