She worries for her more than she thinks is fair. She doubts that what the girl truly needs right now is to have Claire hovering, concern radiating off of her in waves - as if she never stopped keeping an eye on the horizon as if expecting to see the lumbering form of another dinosaurs. It’ll pass. It had after six months when Karen had told Claire to come home. She stopped needing to keep her eyes on her nephews. They were safe, Maisie is safe. They all are.
Claire’s tried to contact Iris ( there are things they need from the estate, toys or something, anything, that might comfort the young girl they’ve taken in ), with some difficulty but she had come. A tense evening that had eventually turned relaxed.
