We. Have. MINECRAFT?! Engineering had Minecraft the WHOLE TIME???
Vi is in her little corner of engineering's "main workspace", with papers scattered over her desk, back curled, face down, and clearly fast asleep. At least for a little bit, before they awake with a jolt, blinking a few times and looking around in tired confusion. W-wha? Oh, did I...? Ugh, need to stop falling asleep at the desk. I'm just gonna... walk around the facility— couldn't do any harm to move around a little bit more. Vi gets up and stretches with a groan. I'm gonna die to back pain before anything else in this facility, I swear.
More spoilers for Episode 55.
I love the fact that the Site Vi was formerly apart of, Site-64, that I randomly picked for an rp with @records-intern , just so happens to be the one that establishes connection with the site. So, uh, thanks Alex!!

Hello peoples, mod is back from the dead! Finals can go jump into 3001 and suffer. Should be back to posting semi-frequently, apologies if I didn't answer your asks before my disappearance

Vi opens the short word document on her work computer.
Engineering's Vi's task List!
It's only you who uses this Vi, lol. -Gillespie
Your simply too uncool to use this >:> -Vi

// This post is chronologically the day before the psychology fire, just so you know. Also semi-long post inc.
Vi sits at her desk, tapping her pen repeatedly as she struggles to focus, her mind elsewhere.
Things were supposed to be different.
Back when Lancaster became a 3B, Vi really didn't know him. Still doesn't, really. But she knew, somewhere, that his treatment was fundamentally wrong. And she could have helped. Maybe not have gotten him out, but she surely could have been there—she had the resources, she had the time. And yet she didn't. She typed away at the screen, ignoring the issue because—because why, it was easier?!
And Vi wants to tell herself that she's changed. But... well, it's not like she's talked to Cas, has she? It's... it's easier, not to.
Vi takes a deep breath, in and out, as she leans back in her chair.
And then she has an idea.
Vi has experience with AICs. Half the reason she's here in the first place is she accidentally helped make one. Looking at past incidents regarding 3Bs, even with the low sample size, shows some key behavioral and mannerism changes that occur upon infection, even right after. Enough so that a trained eye, like Raddagher, could spot it. If... if she could make something to detect 3Bs with high enough accuracy, then it could be used to stop anybody from getting hurt. And... and it could be used to tell when "existing" 3Bs stop being anomalous. To make sure something like Lancaster's circumstance can't happen again. It'd be difficult, hell even, and she'd have to talk to half the departments to get approval, but...
Vi has fixed most of her life's problems with technology, why should this be any different? She grabs a sticky note from her desk, quickly jotting down a name before pressing it firmly to her monitor.
"Pano.aic"
Vi was never good at talking to people IRL. At least, she never thought of herself as being good at it. With an email or text you can always revise it—examine it for any unintended meaning or missed clarification. But talking to people in person is always too fast for that, isn't it? So she, just... didn't. For a long time.
But alas, now she needs to. And she knows it. She's been in this site, for, what, a year? Time is hard to keep down here, but she's been on site in person since late 2018, so that sounds about right? Rambling inside her head again, Vi tries to focus. She needs to talk to people. To truly know them, or else she's gonna, like, go insane or something. Hell, she barely knew who was in her own department except for Gillespie.
Begrudgingly, she grabs a sticky note from her desk, rewriting the previously discarded message and sticking the note to her monitor.
"
Talk to people. Tasklist:
Other people in engineering. Includes Teacup and Fawley. I think.
Meet at least one person from each department.
"
And then small checkboxes, followed by the respective department. VI looks at it for a few seconds, before sighing, a small smile creeping onto her face.
This is sad, Vi. Oh well, too late to turn back now.
You know, I could have drunken rambles if we had drinkable alcohol, but we don't. And no, whatever the hell that shit is doesn't count.
