It was honestly weird to see how my essay went from me whining about fellow atheists being condescending to my final revised essay being more of an argument with a basis with ACTUAL logic and quotes from scholars to back up my argument.
I think changing my audience TO atheists as opposed to christians in the first essay makes me more inclined to have a more thorough argument because atheists are more likely to be hostile to my argument. It was subconscious. I did not even think about how this shift of audience made me work harder on my argument.
Feedback from the first essay did include that it sounded more like an opinion piece, and I can see the differences between this essay and the original one. This one consists more of a coherent argument instead of opinions all because i switched my rhetoric and audience.
It’s weird.
