Da FUQ is this???? Hahaha they're not bad though!
Also Gloucestershire is incredibly safe. Largely populated by families and elderly. Like all cities there are slightly rougher areas (which consist of a few streets) but I've lived here 25 years and My mother has lived here for 45 and we've never had any issue with safety and we live near the centre of town. It's a lovely place, beautiful communities of all backgrounds. I'm black and I've never experienced racism in any form here and it's a mostly white populated area.
Nice nice! I’ll keep this in mind for when I start looking further into things!! :)
Gloucestershire! Tewkesbury in particular has a gorgeous atmosphere with lots of historic buildings like the Abbey and the main road's shops. Near to supermarkets and not far away from the main shopping area (Gloucester city centre). Hucclecote is suburban but has a host of historic properties on it's main road. In between Churchdown (countryside) and Gloucester (city with a shopping mall) and not far from Cheltenham (High end shopping mixed with normal. Mult-million pound properties)
This all sounds nice but I’m also poor, what are the prices of rent and job opportunities in smaller places??? :) I wanna move mostly for the experience but eventually you know, I wanna create a life (if I like the place enough) there so shortterm I’m worried about finding a place but long term I’m worred about the career opportunities :)
I got lots of questions for people living in england so this is great and if there’s more of ya hmu here in my inbox or the chat!!!
Sometimes I think abt England like... Kids sing about sex, tragedies, miscarriages, war and sexual assault... But also we have cute words to describe illness "She's got sniffles" "squits" "poor lad's doing the cancan" "yeah, I heard billy got singing illness"
I ate black pudding today with my breakfast. I feel really grossed out because I genuinely enjoyed it.
I miss American food. I miss funyuns, I miss decent hot sauce, I miss being able to buy gallons of milk without it costing me an arm
