beth had a hat trick in 23 minutes why did sarina play her 90 😭
Why indeed?! Very frustrating - just hope all our players get a decent amount of recovery now in preparation for Sunday.

I know this kind of scoreline is pretty controversial but I think it would actually be insulting to the opponent if they held back or acted as if every goal was a formality. The way I see it, giving your all and celebrating is the best way to show that you know your opponents' worth (some of the commentators comments kinda ticked me off tho, that comment about Latvia's number 16 trying to score an own goal to get on the action was really unnecessary)
Oh yeah, for sure - it's a very tricky situation as the winning team has to keep playing/scoring for goal difference in the qualifying group, and also it would be pretty offensive to the other team if they just stopped playing.
It's so difficult because while some teams are getting increased investment and professionalisation there are plenty of women's teams who still get very little support, and certainly a lot less than so-called 'big teams'. I do feel that a two-tier qualification system would be more useful though - so that the lower ranked teams play each other and then a certain number of those teams go on into a smaller (than the current) qualification system with higher ranked teams. That way they get the opportunity to play against teams of a similar level, and actually PLAY football rather than just try to keep the ball out of the net 10-20 times! I don't know if it would be feasible but it feels like something needs to be done, and maybe UEFA need to get involved in terms of support - at the very least to make sure that all the players are available and not having to go to work instead! The gap is getting bigger and something needs to be done.
Totally agree about the commentary - that particular comment was very disrespectful to Latvia and tbh the comment at 19-0 or whatever it was that all the England fans have to be enjoying it made me cringe a bit as well. I have to say I didn't especially enjoy watching that game, especially as the score just kept going up. I'm happy for the players that scored - I know it's a big honour for them to play/score for their country - and obviously those who scored their first international goals/Ellen breaking the record - but it was a bit of an uncomfortable watch.
So who should get the game ball 😅
Cut it into quarters
England are playing part-timers that are tired.
the scoreline is not a miracle
Yes I know, thank you?
When did I say it was a miracle? Maybe my tone didn't come across properly but I don't think this scoreline is a good thing...
Is it just me or does this game feel like it's been going on for hours and hours?
Pleased for all the players getting their goals but really just want it to end and for our Arsenal girls to get some rest ahead of Sunday 😬
England Women take a bow 👏🏻
Jesus Christ. 18-0 and 4 hattricks?
This is insane.
Yes Jord!!!
This scoreline is ridiculous but so pleased to see Jord playing and scoring for England.
