Once approved by the client, the cypher was has engraved on half inch thick steel for the notecards and diminutive, folded, Onion Skin calling card. During one of the many, substantive client conversations over the phone—the client was in Malibu and Mrs. Collins in New York City—the idea of embroidered linens was discussed. The Italian linen, oversized table napkins were sourced at the danddbuilding. The embroidery was by created by @pennandfletcher, Embroidery Artisans and Designers. Mrs. Collins learned a lot about the differences between monograms and cyphers engraved on paper and the same concept stitched in thread on cloth. Mrs. Collins is often commissioned to hand-draw bespoke cyphers and monograms for private clients who use the finished art for many applications.
