One one half of my brain, I would definitely imagine that engy and medic had seen pyros face. Likely cuz 'medic needed to do the medicine's and 'engy saw what they looked like by a freak gadget experiment gone wrong'. And cuz both med and engy are pretty secretive of themselves to they were just like "oh yeah it doesn't matter to me" lol
