MC: .. I wanted to create a sequel one day, but only if and when I had a good idea for it. For me Sadeness (Part I) was a question. Sadeness (Part II) is the answer. With ‘In nomine Christi’ the first part features probably the most popular vocal theme in church music. With the second part I wanted a musical theme in church music to be the hidden star. MC: After #Enigma 7 I was a bit empty. I did not have the inspiration for a new Enigma album and therefore decided to work on something completely different. This is the time I wrote a musical about the famous silent movie ‘Metropolis’ together with my good friend Michael Kunze. It was the wonderful collaboration with him that made me think about a new Enigma album. MC: I guess the album has somehow autobiographical elements, although I didn’t plan for it. I am trying to ‘rebel’ against the so-called mainstream with Enigma for more than 25 years now. So, I think that I do live the life I envisioned for myself – sometimes more and sometimes less successful. And many people do so in their professional or personal life. It is something that applies to probably every one of us. We all ‘fall out’ our life at some point, because we deliberately chose to or because we were forced to. Either way, we change direction and we have to find a new path.
