円城塔の「コード・ブッダ」に出てくる『その「あなた」は祈りの中には確かに存在しているのに、言葉に籠めることはできないなにかで、その不在こそがわたしの実存を支えるもので、それを倒すことは、わたしであることをより強める行為でしかなく、しかしそれを滅さぬ限り、解脱が叶うことはなく、その声が聞こえている限り、わたしはすでに解脱してしまっている状態とあまり変わるところがない』そのあなたとは何でしょうか？

That "you" is something that certainly exists within prayer, yet cannot be confined within words. Its very absence is what supports my existence. To overthrow it is merely an act that strengthens my sense of self. However, unless I annihilate it, liberation cannot be attained. Yet, as long as I can hear its voice, my state is hardly different from that of already being liberated. What is this "you"?
