This little heart just lifted me. This little heart, made of red construction paper, covered in washi tape just brough me to uplifing tears.This little heart was made for me by the son of my Psych-K®️ Basic Instructor. It was his idea and his handiwork. Nothing but Love (God) could have inspired that. The little boy did not know I was coming to the class, but God knew. The washi tape was from the package that my Roterfarden organizer came in. I'd been looking for one and this one had this embroidered in it "Gerdankensammler ;-)". It loosely translates "idea keeper" and it was at a price I was comfortable with. Perfect! When it came, the previous owner packaged it so beautifully, with a handmade card and note. It was such a joy to receive it. I placed the washi tape on the heart as reinforcement because I wanted to keep the heart. It was such a beautiful gift. Today, after spiralling downward emotionally following about 10 minutes of current events, I opened my book to find something for work. And there it was. A reminder that the Love that is God is always seeking for my good. The little heart drew me in. I held to my stomach that was sick from the news and I cried/released the disgust, anger and fear I was feeling. I let myself feel the love intendend for me, through these simple materials, sent through a woman on the other side of the globe and a 9-year old little boy who could still feel Love's impression upon him. Everyday, seek to feel Love's impression on you. Answer it's call. I realize more and more that I have to lean into my #emotionalliteracy even more between now and the new year. I will not allow myself to become like the people who support this current president. I will take the action I can to support the change I want such as meditating, voting, applying to be a poll worker, supporting others in thier emotional work, all of it. We cannot change hate with hate or anger with anger. I will be proactive in keeping my emotions where they feel good. I ask that you join me, as best you can, in this emotional work. Emotions are the magnet. We must do that part. Our country, our world, our lives depend on this. I will support you as best I can. Do reach out.
