POP IN - POP OUT - POP UP
We were cordially invited by our friends at Brooklyn Dry Goods to curate a secret show at the ENKNYC//TMRW (TMRW: A handpicked group of emerging brands set to deliver a dose of progressive style.) Men's Market. The timing was perfect having our hot little hands on Augustus Thompson, here for NEW PORTRAITS that opened on July 7th.
We are pretty stoked that we could submerge Gus in full art making mayhem and put this solo show together, and conceive his installation entitled "YOUNG COLOR". The work that comprises "YOUNG COLOR" embraces an energetic youth, combined with art and fashion in the form of drawing, painting, sculpture and custom clothing. Within this body of work Thompson breaks down the lines, and the barriers between concept and craft, fashion and art, two dimensional and three dimensional work.
