Mindfulness in the Workplace
Our work lives make up most of our day-to-day, so it is important to work a job you enjoy and to keep a mindful attitude at work. It can be easy to let work get you down and stress you out, so take time to breathe and re-center yourself.
It can sometimes feel like your job is insignificant in a big company. It may seem like the work you do has no purpose in the grand scheme of things. When this self-doubt occurs, take a step back and look at your job description. How does this compare to what you do at work every day? Take another step back and look at the bigger picture. How does your position contribute to the company’s goals and mission? What can you do to better contribute to the company’s goal and mission?
It is easy to get lost in work but remember your company’s success is also your success, so be mindful of how you can better represent yourself, your company, and even your coworkers.
Enlightenment is, in the end, nothing more than the natural state of being.
