He's deeply loyal and craves love, acceptance, and intimacy.

He actually, in a sense, "uses" this (you, your love for him and his love for you, his desire to provide and protect you) to "prove" himself that he has value, and that he's a "proper" man, too.

This means he has many insecurities and can doubt himself pretty often even if he does it hest not to show it.

He's really family-oriented and wants to create his own, with (hopefully) many children.

He's very bad at voicing his feelings, and this leads to many misunderstandings between you two.

That doesn't stop him from complimenting you and showing you with love, though!

He's fierce and prideful but has quite the self-esteem issues that can turn into self-loathing and anger.

He has no problem with twisting logic, events, and feelings to serve his needs.

Actually, at some point, he'll start to believe in his own lies, too, and that's more terrifying.

He believes his desires are more important than your autonomy.

He'll isolate you from everyone and make you feel bad about yourself so that you will be dependent on him.

He's absolutely loyal to you and would do anything for you, even when he's deadly afraid (look at Ra).

He hates the thought of disappointing you.

He needs reassurance, especially if he thinks someone more powerful or charismatic might take you from him (because, compared to other Gods, he isn't exactly the strongest).

He gets intimidated easily and will seek protection from you by hiding behind you.

He's a great conversationalist!

He's very attentive and will notice even small changes.

He would rather avoid conflict and will try to discuss things out than let things escalate into a fight.

I think if making Set repent and become a better person was really the goal then they should've had him like sit down somewhere and let every human he hurt or killed tell him their story. Like it'll take a long time, it will be miserable, the guilt will eat away at him, but it would fit the crime. He hurt people, a LOT of people, in part because he probably didn't see the actual value in them as individuals, but if he sat down, godly powers gone, no glorious headpiece that hides his expression, just sitting there being the tired and worn-down man he is while the spirit of some dead Egyptian woman who he killed in his "I'm gonna kill every woman who looks like Isis" rampage sits across from him and tells him her story, how she worked hard to take care of her children or parents, how she experienced love and loss and an early end because of Set's rage and let Set take that in. Let him live with it and let her see the guilt in his expression and understand that he isn't heartless and maybe she can feel a little more at peace. And he'll just repeat that process, learn hundreds or even thousands of stories and understand the weight of his actions and hopefully grant some healing to the victims of his wrath. There will be some who won't forgive him, there will be some who won't even want to speak with him at all, but what matters is there is a chance that Set and the people he killed can sympathize with one another and come to an understanding that dulls the festering hatred from both sides. But instead, Set is left without godly powers and defenseless against the abuses of men, which had nothing to do with his crimes like he didn't assault anyone, he slaughtered people, both very bad, but you don't learn to not kill people by being raped over and over again. Like that isn't gonna make him a better person, being raped was what sent him on a rampage in the first place. But the gods don't actually care about humans, they just care about seeing Set suffer and so that's why they just send him away and take his powers, because it was never about the people of Egypt.
