have you ever read the manga: Im: Great Priest Imhotep?
It uses a globally different version of the myth than Ennead, and the characters we focus on aren’t all the same, but there’s some interesting overlap and me think there’s awesome crossover potential between the two!
There are ways (ending spoilering ways so I won’t go into details) to send Imhotep into Ennead-verse, as in: he’s from an erased previous iteration of the world, which only he survived cuz powerful spell (which is also the reason he’s awakening so late)

Im has an history of being Anubis’ mentor (not exactly the same kind of Anubis in his verse, but me think this could be an interesting plot point here, gods know Nubs needs someone in his corner)
also special sensitivity to Red Head Doomed By The Narrative from the trauma of what happened to his BFF prince Djoser
Did I mention he’s the great priest of Thot? Cuz actually the situation is more of a messy reincarnation/cloning situation; except that’s HIS version of Thot, very different from Ennead’s blue-haired one—me think we can spin Im!Thot keeping some continuity in his memory when the previous iteration of the world was erased to Ennead’s, except he had millennia and millennia to change (including falling in love with Maat) before Im came back online. Under stress Ennead!Thot introduces Im as his son, then has to frantically explain his way out of an ass-beating from his wife who Did Not Know About This Child
Im is at the same time 16, 3000 years old (being sealed will do that to a boy) and, in this, older than the gods
Original reason he was sealed? He defied the gods and committed a ‘great sin’ that unleashed evil upon the world. Morally, the ‘Sin’ in question doesn’t really scale compared to Ennead tbh but the consequences do count for sth, and me think the cursed heretical great priest Imhotep & the evil god Seth could vibe together
this boy is NOT pursuing Seth romantically or otherwise. I sus my guy to be Ace, or demisexual at most, and the slots for that are full already, thank you very much
his powers are ver very OP among the humans in his home universe cuz he can summon and use about any god’s magic (like Ra’s sun boat!) oklm—faced with a cast of gods I think it balanced out some, tho there’s still sth special about his powers—tied to a previous iteration of the same gods, so he has pieces of their power and blessings from them which they don’t remember granting, Same But Different vibe
All this to say, I think he would fit nicely as the catalyst of Ennead’s story instead of Horus, y’know, to make this about atoning and healing and Found Family™ instead of miserable rape yaoi (also happiness for Anubis!!)

Oh this looks FANTASTIC once my brain is not full of Yellowjackets I will start reading this because omg those character designs???? And also the thought of a character in Egyptian mythology lore who isn't pursuing romance or sexual intimacy is so refreshing like yeah I want that twelve year old lookin old man to just be insanely powerful and make friends with the miserable cast of Ennead and maybe bring some health and whimsy to their messy relationships
Also I think it would be very endearing for big buff full god Ennead Anubis (who has the personality of a lost puppy) to be mentored and cared for by a dude who looks like an annoying little prince (who is actually thousands of years old and is incredibly powerful) the contrast would be so cute and silly
Im seems like such a whimsical story and the crossover concept is already sounding so cute and fun and silly and I thank you for this I need to stop consuming media full of miserable gay people
