im back home for break for a week, i survived my finals

nothing will compare to the shock of picking up notes of a crocodile from the library yesterday, my mom asking what i got from the library, telling her, and then her realizing that it's 鱷魚手記 and saying that she literally owns the mandarin copy at home

#LIKE HELLO??#who was gonna tell me that one of the most influential taiwanese lesbian novels was one of my mom's favorite books #(well i guess she did)#she not only owns a copy but brought it from taiwan when she came to the us like 26 years ago??#girl #ennuitxt #also finals killed me this time #there was a span of 5 days where i legit studied for 10 hrs per day #why do i live like this #(because i chose it freely i fear)

guys life update ive committed to the medical school im going to!! it's in florida, so if anyone has recommendations for fun things to do there lmk, since that's where i'll be for the next four years <33

#unsurprisingly fl was Not my first choice of state #but californian med schools are impossible to get into #but ultimately im just grateful that this TWO YEAR application process resulted in an acceptance and i dont need to reapply #i am nervous!! coming from the sf bay area and boston #ive never lived in a red state #so i do worry as a lesbian of color especially in these times #but i know it'll be fun to explore a new place and i do love the beach #so i am choosing to be excited about it #i move there in late july!!#ennuitxt #oh my GOD also if you have tips to deal with the humidity i am also taking those #i can do 100º dry heat no problem but 85º w humidity just kills me #taiwanese genes are not enough

merry christmas and happy holidays everyone <33 i've been so absent the second half of this year because i've been busy with medical school applications and work, but no matter how busy i get, i love knowing that i have my blog and all my lovely friends and mutuals here, i hope you are all having a good december <33

hi guys i miss u all ive been so busy w my applications but i come bearing good news, i finally got my mcat score back and i got a 522!! 99th percentile!!!!

#i can finally breathe a little bit!!#i still have a long ways to go bc this application cycle continues all the way through winter/spring 2025 #(which is fucking insane #why is medical school like this like there's no good reason)#but at least i know for sure i can apply this cycle and i dont need to retake it and wait til next cycle or anything #ennuitxt
