your thoughts about your experiences define you.
it makes sense to me now. the reason I'm not happy about my current situation in life is because I chose to be here over a year ago, and I certainly wasn't the same person a year ago. I was young, innocent, had been through a lot of tragedies but had hidden them away. I hit the breaking point, I let my thoughts about my experiences consume me. when I finally got ahold of myself I had completely changed. and now that I have, my present situation doesn't suit my present self.
