Season 7, episode 1: Descent (part 2)
Same excuse for being late a usual, 3 AP classes, volunteering, etc, etc.
Commentary:
- I liked Taitt :)
- As soon as Lore turned up when Picard was taken out, I knew Data was gonna have to kill him. And guess what? I was spot on!!!!
- Lore telling Data that he loves him actually destroyed me.
- Bro, the way that taking emotions from Data actually tortured him is pretty fucked up. He seemed to be in actual pain. Like, is he ok???
- Hugh!!!! I love Hugh, he’s awesome.
- That lake story with Data sinking!!!! I love that little piece of lore. Also, he was totally lying about the anomalous readings, right?
- He tortured Geordi :((((. Screaming, crying, throwing up. He’s not gonna forgive himself about that one for a while, even if Geordi does. I’m sad now.
- Ok, Data’s probably gonna have a kinda unhealthy relationship with emotions from now on. The fact that the only time he had emotions (not that I believe he’s emotionless, so actually, the only time he’s had HUMAN emotions), he also got mind controlled and tortured his best friend. That’s gotta fuck with your head a bit.
- That conversation with Geordi and Data at the end had me in tears. Data saying that his friendship with Geordi was more important than his lifelong dream and Geordi saying that he’ll save the emotion chip for “when he’s ready” is so sweet. I love them so much 😭😭😭😭😭
- Whenever Lore lifted his fingernail to do the emotion thing, it freaked me out a bit. I’m pretty desensitized to gore for humans, but not for androids I guess.
10/10, so emotional 😭 😭😭😭😭
