Okay so. Erevi is a very self-indulgent oc I came up with shortly after I began writing steadfast, just for funsies. I love any setting where I have a chance to be like 'fuck gender roles' and have a character fulfill that need for me and so Erevi is basically wish fulfilment for me.
Erevi is a shapeshifter, nonbinary. They're very angry with the world, for good reason. They're very bitter and feral, but also very lonely. They've spent most of their life being used and abused, and tend to self-isolate to avoid being hurt like that again. They take mercenary jobs and kill people who deserve it, but for the most part they coast by under the radar, constantly changing and moving to stay hidden and safe.
They're v cat-like, to me: slow to trust, and if you try to force affection on them before you've won them over they're likely to lash out. But if you are one of those rare few that manages to gain their trust, you've never had a stronger, better ally in your corner. You could call them up at 3 a.m. like 'i need help' and they'll be there to hide a body or buy you a drink, whatever you need, no questions asked.
