Lia was... well, tired. She’d been staying in Mystic Falls for she didn’t even know how long and had taken a job at the Grill in order to get some money, and when she wasn’t working or waiting to start her shift, she was often hustling pool against some customers in order to get even more money. But for now, she was finished her shift and sitting at the bar to have a drink before she got home.

When she saw him walk in the restaurant, she sat a bit straighter in her seat, but looked away from him to appear that she wasn’t staring at him and make everything awkward.

Dressed in her pirate costume, Elena felt... nervous? This Halloween party was ill-timed, but it had been planned long before Stefan disappeared with Klaus, and who was Damon to cancel a party that the whole town of Mystic Falls was looking forward to? Apparently Caroline and Bonnie were already at the party, so said Caroline's text, so she was left to walk in alone, how very kind of them, she thought to herself. She knew this wouldn't be even half as weird if she and Damon hadn't made out not even a week ago at some sleazy hotel, but would it have made things more awkward had she not showed up at all? Time would tell, she guessed. As she walked inside, pushing open the large wooden door, loud music flooded her ears and a hundred costumed guests danced with drinks in hand. Elena sighed, hoping she would find Caroline and Bonnie before Damon found her and the awkwardness shot up a few notches.
