The Lord's prayer

I’m reading this Chinese book on the book of Matthew with Jean and it’s been really insightful. The book’s title is “Path of life - entering rest”. It’s been more than eye opening to read it and see God’s heart clearer and clearer.

I want to document my learnings along the way do I’ll provide some snippets here and there. Hope it blesses others, too!

PG. 71 on Matthew 6:9-13 On Lord’s Prayer - the whole prayer is actually a discipleship process that trains us how to surrender and give up our rights.

In fact, to surrender our rights is probably one of the most critical prayers for a Christian… **To be a disciple of Christ, the most important thing to do at first is not about what to do, not about striving to be in Christ, not even about repentance. Instead, it’s admitting that “you are my God, you are my Lord” and surrender our rights. This looks easy, but it's very hard for us. Often times, we want things our ways, in our control.
