The human muttered something under their breath as the mirror clicked open. Niki was already moving. She leaned forward, touching Secret's neck with a gloved hand to give the command to go. Her tarantula ran forward and towards the window, up a broom propped in the corner. At the peak of the climb Niki leapt off of Secret, grabbing for the string controlling the blinds and yanking on them with her full weight. The blinds on the window let go, unrolling with a rattling thunk, as Niki was yanked upwards by the string. Thrown higher, she lost her grip, and she fell. OR: Niki knows that no one is coming back for her.

Alright, so @mcytbattleship was very a lot this year, but I did get a couple things written! First, hitting the tag Arachnids for a teammate!
You think PuffHalo would have been more of a...thing? It barely even existed as far as I could tell.
Maybe it's because Puffy always kinda positioned herself as the willing third wheel/"I wanna see where this is going" perspective of the massively popular Skephalo but it seems like PuffHalo never even popped into many people's minds. Like it just...didn't happen???
Maybe because shipping Bad with anyone else was probably a war crime back in the day considering what an insane juggernaut of a ship Skephalo used to be. Especially considering it was for two less major characters. Key word is major. Just less.
But I dunno it seems like a cool ship maybe. Need to learn a bit more about Puffy even though I think I know her character a bit. Also I was presented with the possibility of it being chased because it was also a straight ship which....I didn't even consider. I didn't even notice it was a straight ship. Maybe because it's Bad.
Shipping went crazy and Puffy spent a SOLID amount of time around them. It's just a weird blip. Maybe there's an underground PuffHalo community? Who knows.
