QAI Ventures Taps Singapore as Asia-Pacific Quantum AI Hub
QAI Ventures chooses Singapore as an Asia-Pacific quantum AI cluster.
QAI Ventures, a worldwide venture financing firm and ecosystem builder in quantum technology and advanced computing, announced the opening of its Asia-Pacific offices in Singapore. Singapore's position as a global leader in quantum and artificial intelligence innovation is projected to improve with this strategic expansion with Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG). The effort advances quantum ecosystem integration in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
According to QAI Ventures CEO and co-founder Alexandra Beckstein, “Singapore offers a unique blend of world-class research, forward-thinking government support, and entrepreneurial energy.” It's exciting to engage with Enterprise Singapore to transform these advantages into global quantum firms. Singapore's strong IP laws, well-known quantum research, and government-sponsored National Quantum Strategy, which has garnered S$300 million (US$222 million), are used by this partnership.
Develop Future Quantum Innovators
This growth is driven by two main QuantumAI ecosystem projects. Launch of QAI Ventures:
The five-month QuantumAI Accelerator Program seeks to uncover and nurture promising multinational startups and attract global talent to Singapore.
Venture Building Program: To turn Singapore's strong research and intellectual property into market-ready and globally competitive solutions.
These projects are based on QAI enterprises' profitable enterprises in Canada and Switzerland, which have attracted major industry partners and created innovative firms. New projects are scheduled for January 2026.
To show its long-term commitment, QAI Ventures opened a Singapore office and named Thomas Landis, its chief product officer, managing director. This dedicated team will integrate with local researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, and enterprises in finance, life sciences, and industrials.
Emily Liew, Assistant Managing Director for Innovation at Enterprise Singapore, said the regional hackathon initiates the engagement with QAI Ventures to foster venture-ready firms and accelerate enterprise quantum readiness, establishing Singapore as a leading global quantum hub. QAI Ventures is welcomed and prospective participants are encouraged to use their experience to advance quantum breakthroughs.
Global Hackathon Series Starting
From October 24–26, 2025, QAI Ventures will host the GenQ Quantum Hackathon in Singapore before the program launch. This SWITCH-organized event seeks extraordinary talent and new ideas for future accelerator and business development programs. The final presentation on October 26 and an official launch event at SWITCH on October 29 are open to journalists and ecosystem partners to meet QuantumAI's key participants.
This hackathon is part of QAI Ventures' Global Hackathon Series 2025, announced July 30, 2025. With this ambitious three-continent effort, "GenQ," the next generation of quantum inventors, will be able to design QuantumAI applications that serve UN SDGs. Researchers, industry executives, and students meet in Calgary, Geneva, and Singapore to discuss high-impact application cases in banking, energy, and life sciences.
Global quantum future vision
In addition to venture funding, QAI Ventures builds ecosystems and offers several services. Its current services include Startup Accelerators, an Early-Stage VC Fund that invests in firms from its programs, and a Growth-Stage VC Fund for Quantum/AI companies. On-demand matchmaking, scouting, and innovation challenges are also available. New Finance Cluster and Commercial Platform scheduled for Q3 2025.
Company expansion in Singapore shows Singapore's growing relevance in quantum technology. QAI Ventures' new APAC location is well-positioned to form strategic partnerships and accelerate research commercialization with its portfolio of 27 innovative North American and European companies.
As the quantum revolution continues, QAI Ventures' strategic presence in Singapore will foster boundary-pushing synergy and accelerate technological transformation in keeping with its core tenet of building the quantum future through innovation, teamwork, and devotion to people and diversity.
