elliot, what's it like being a father figure to sasha's daughter?

"Umm I don’t know that I’m any good at it, but I really love it. To think that she looks forward to getting picked up by me at the end of school, and has added me to her crayon drawings — it’s a pretty great feeling. I actually have one of her art works in my room. The whole ‘being a father figure’ thing sounds like I’m contributing a lot or something but really it just becomes a part of you. Maybe its instinct or something? But I think about Sasha and her daughter when I’m just out an about. At the store, I might see something they’ll like. Or I see a movie trailer on TV and think about taking them both .. It’s just been really great,".

"You did .. what?" he turned around to look at her, trying to decipher if her words were true. His eyes were cold and his tone was dark. Marcus wasn't happy.

"Don't fucking scare me like that, asshole!" Tallulah all but shouted, putting her hands on her hips. "You're the fuckin' closest thing I have to a big brother, and I'll be damned if you die because you're a dumbass." She looked at Seb for another long moment. "If you try this shit again, Seb, I'll kill you."

    “I’m fine, Tallulah, Christ.     It was just a bike accident,       there was— no permanent      damage… I think.”  

He certainly didn’t look fine,not when he was wired upto seven different beepingmachines, his left arm a bloody mess of bandagesand a hazy look in his eyesfrom the painkillers.

The sarcastic grin aimedat her was indistinct fromthe hospital bed.

    “You couldn’t kill me, admit      it. You’re too tiny.”
