Well... I finished the refs for my characters. I’m also on Artfight now.
These are the characters for my longform webcomic I wanna run at some point, I’ve drawn these fuckers and some variation of them for like, YEARS now.
From top to bottom and by color, here are their names and superhero (or human in the case of Grimm) aliases
Blue - Mryddin “Magik” Lupin/ The Alchemist
Yellow - Candy Peafowlinson / Superbia
Purple - Grimm Reaper / Samuel Benjamin Grimm
Red - Entropy Lupin/ Black Crimson
Brown/Blue - Aquilo “Izotz” Blayzes-Lupin
(Though, might change the last name of Lupin...idk)
As for the story they’re a part of, it’s called 1216 Beelzebub Lane, and it’s a deeply personal story to me. One day I hope I can make it a show, but it’s gonna for now be either storyboards, or comics or something. It’s about this gang of monster-folk in a superhero society that stemmed from magical roots/evolved from magic instead of metahumans. It’s about their journey to discover themselves and more about one another, and it’s about closure and changing difficult mindsets. It involves a lot of my personal experiences, growing up as someone who had a hard life, being laughed at for being different, or struggling to find out my own footing. I wanted to create something that was...for me. For others like me. Maybe other people can hopefully take advice or look up to the comic and get inspired. I dunno! All I know is, my kids? Make me happy. I enjoy seeing them thrive in this optimistic, but grounded world.
