Congratulations on learning how to cook! I'm really glad you found a learning method that's working for you! (and am very sorry that people around you have been mocking it) :( Cooking can be very dangerous, but can be so much fun too! Don't give up!

Thanks. It’s been really slow going, but I am def. making progress. 

For example, when I was visiting my parents last week my dad was sick and fully on my own I made him one of his favorite things for dinner and I just... it was really incredible? 

Like I get that at 28 years of age, after having moved out of my parents place for college at age 16, I should be better at the whole cooking thing.. but well... I really am not. 

Hell I even worked in an industrial kitchen for a few months chopping veggies after college and am worthless in the kitchen (I am very very very very scared of knives, and as this was part of a work and study language program and they would not reassign me I wound up leaving that program flat out as I was not only beyond unhappy, but was also really cutting my hand up constantly).

But yeah, I am so glad I have started to figure out how to do this. I really hope it’ll help bring my food costs down, you know?

Yeah I guess so, hahaha. I mean, I still want to get a fanx table, but I’ll have even better art by then to sell, and I’ll be better organized, so I’m sure this is for the best. :)

:( :( Bleah, I’m not super fond of their price jump either. …I applied anyway because I’m stupidly local for that show, but I won’t be too “disappointed” if I don’t get in this year.

It’s a pretty drastic price jump from last year and FanX too. I didn’t go last year but I saw what they charged for tables and this is the first time I’ve seen the prices go up for this event. I really hope they don’t do the same thing for FanX 2018. >.<
