On the plane for the first leg of a very long travel day. I scored a cheap upgrade and this is my first time flying first class. So far, EXCELLENT CHOICE ME.

However, I can clearly see the seat touchscreen of the individual in front and to the side of me, and they are struggling to get everything they try -- AND THEY ARE TRYING MANY MANY THINGS -- to play, and it's because they keep hitting the play button too many times in their impatience and are pausing it, and while first class is incredible and I deserve the hell out of this, I MAY LOSE MY ENTIRE MIND IF THIS CONTINUES.

GUESS WHO'S BACK IN THE ER BABYYY

We're home! They didn't keep Hubby this time, which is good news! The less good news is they didn't keep him because there's no point. They can't do anything! Yay!

Basically Hubby's left eye is now doing the same thing his right eye did, which is "stop working correctly". Which is, frankly, rude. I can't remember the exact name, but it's like his eye had a stroke and it's squeezing the shit out of his optic nerve. In the case of his right eye, it damaged it beyond recovery. Which we just learned yesterday, awesome! His left optic nerve is swollen, but could still recover. It's pretty much just cross fingers and wait.

I dunno about the rest of you, but that's my FAVOURITE medical solution!

Anyway, with nothing else to be done, Hubby took today off of work to be a well-earned sad sack about it, and then we're going to dive into learning how to use screen readers and other tech for those with little to no vision. Apparently -- and thanks to Doc, as one of her dealing methods is turning into A RESEARCH MACHINE -- there are indeed blind accountants and a host of tools Hubby can learn to use.

And so we'll start on that, because even if all our crossed fingers pull off their miracle magic, this could happen again, and keep happening. So now we know, we're going to prepare for it.

Then, on Friday, we're going to Midge's preschool graduation. Because whatever else, life continues.

30 hours conscious and little over $5000 almost $6000 @docholligay raised for charity. Not bad, I'd say. Pretty fucking amazing.
