People who say married sex sucks are weak as hell because this year I’ve been married five years and my husband still finds new and exciting ways to make me orgasm until my entire body gives out over and over again
It’s funny that “you’ll be hairy fat and bald” is the big “don’t take testosterone because like hairy is literally a goal it makes me euphoric as hell that I’m becoming an orangutan. But like forget about trans mascs for a sec, because that’s not the only people catching strays
Saying hairy, bald and fat as negatives is like:
- body shaming, people of all sexes and genders can be all or any of these things
- misogynistic, are you…. Are you saying that people have to shave with extra steps? Do cis women with body hair gross you out too? Grow up
- ableist as hell, a lot of health conditions cause hair loss, hair growth, and weight gain
- intersexist as hell, sometimes people’s baseline hormones don’t match the standard for the birth sex and it causes any of the above
- ageist as hell, most humans hair thins as you get older, not everyone goes bald but the hair definitely thins
The thing is no one exists to be attractive to anyone else, and telling a marginalised group that they have to moderate their appearances to be attractive to you is literally a really fucking weird thing to say
Reminder that a lot of testosterone demonising horror stories are actually just boiling down to two things:
- you will look more masculine
- you will gain the same risk of health problems as a dmab
Because the thing about the second is, you also end up getting LESS likely to get any conditions DFABs are more likely to get.
Like testosterone cured the chronic migraines I’ve had from childhood and also like my muscle build up means my joints don’t dislocate as much, also endometriosis is gone etc
You know like, the film no one talks about as being ‘old women scary’ is Psycho when it is literally the trifecta of old women, mentally ill/neurodivergence, androgyny scary which are three issues plaguing horror films
I love Psycho as a movie but approaching it from this in mind is important like
One of my pet hates is when people refer to Longlegs as an example of ‘old women scary’, when no actually the character played by Nicholas Cage is in fact just an androgynous looking man that resembles Norma Bates from Psycho, which is a metaphor for Osgood Perkins experiences as his entire existence being purely so that his gay dad can stay in the closet and how his mum resented him for it
And like sure we can talk about how Longlegs absolutely fits into “androgyny = scary”, although I think that’s because for Osgood Perkins growing up androgyny probably was scary, because you know…. Closeted gay dad, who’s most known for Psycho where he plays Norman/Norma Bates. But like the scary element of Longlegs isn’t the AGE aspect? It isn’t “look how disgusting this aging body is ew”. And I’d argue whilst I think there’s a personal dissection of WHY is androgyny scary, it’s legitimately bizarre to me to think age has anything to do with it
Like I’m sorry but when did we as a collective decide Nicholas Cage was playing a woman because if he was well why is no one talking transmisogyny
i'm working on. . . A REFERENCE SHEET 😨 (on paper sketching rn) but seriously, why'd i procrastinate doing these! they're pretty fun.
(doing nyx's first ofc because there's NO way i'd start with irida's first)
