Environment 360 - Evaluation
This project was called “Environment 360 ” we researched the works of multiple different photographers and artists to see how their approach’s differed from each other. We had to think carefully about exposure and lens choice. Our editing and production of images was important due to the fact that if we didn’t shoot them overlapping the whole process after that would not work and we would not be able to create a proper collage meaning that you would have to reshoot. I found the project enjoyable and challenging I felt that my research helped a lot in the production of the images. I knew what kind of image I was looking for. I researched many photographers including
• Cristina Mittermeier
• Paul Nicklen
• Arnold Newman
• Sara Facio
• David Hockney
By researching these I was able to delve into the different approaches and takes of environmental photography and how each photographer approach changed their attitude to this subject. The technique I enjoyed the most was being able to take the images that I had shot and place them in to photoshop and watch the collage come together. The feedback I received from my peers and lecturers helped me to look more at the composition of my images and how I wanted it to look. I think that the part of this project that I found most successful for me was the editing of my images as I feel that I was time efficient and was able to edit my image effectively and well with the techniques shown to us. I also feel that I was able to problem solve since some of my attempts at the collage didn’t work.
