Here’s a sketch I cleaned up a bit. I don’t draw Th gay much, so uh sorry about general ignorance of things. I also don’t typically draw guys. This was a bit of an excuse to draw a guy that I liked that isn’t Joshua.

something i really love is how enzo was first presented to us as a good friend who easily puts his trust in others, as a man who still believed in a better future, in love, in a better life, even. he really never gave up on wanting any of that for himself until he was given up on and betrayed by his best friend. enzo flipped the switch because he’s actually run by his emotions. it's why damon’s abandonment affected him as much as it did. same for lily's. he’s extremely in touch with them and that’s why he couldn’t bear damon’s second betrayal. it makes him so nicely well-layered given everything he’s endured. he’s willful and determined when he has his mind set, when he’s decided to do something, he undoubtedly will. that can be protecting someone he cares about, or protecting himself and carrying out a vendetta he refused let go of.
i loved them showing his vengeful, bitter side when finally freed of captivity because again, it showed how well-layered he is.
enzo has this edge about him. that edge comes from knowing what it means to be a vampire, in addition to knowing just how far the cruelty of man can go. knowing that he’ll kill to survive, knowing that if he's about to be killed, he’ll make sure to kill them first. but enzo’s also affectionate, and being in touch and connected to others that are kind in their own way does make him better. but that doesn’t invalidate the fact that enzo lives by his own code, his own self-imposed laws. granted, this code is usually good, but sometimes it’s not, and not everyone’s gonna be okay with it and he is ultimately okay with that. he does not need others to be okay with his decisions.
