COVID-19 Statistics: First epidemiology report in Greece Feb20-Mar20

Greece’s National Health Organization EODY released on Saturday statistics data on the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country. The data have been collected for the period February 20 until March 20, 2020. Categories include age and geographical regions.

According to the latest official data released on March 20, the total confirmed cases are 495 and 10 deaths. Four people died in 24 hours (March 19-20).

Of the 495 cases confirmed until March 20, 53.5% are men and 46.5% are women, marginally more than half of the infected are recorded in the age category 40-64. 24.2% are in age category 18-39 and 20.7% are over 60 years old.. Only 4.4% of those affected are in the age group of children and adolescents, aged 0-17 years.

Of the total confirmed cases in Greece, 95.4% are Greeks (455 in total); the remaining 40 are foreign nationals living in Greece.

In the first epidemiological report published on the official website of the National Public Health Organization, 23.6%, ie 117 have or are still hospitalized. 26 infected patients had to be ventilated and intubated.

The large number of cases, 213, is recorded in the Athens area. 32 cases have been recorded in the Attica Basin outside Athens. 15 cases have been confirmed in East Attica, 2 in West Attica, 15 in Piraeus. The total number of infections in Attica is 249, i.e. 50% of total.

So are cases: 57,288 not 55,769 - An average of 44 people lost per day in the week of August 15-21, 2022.

According to the weekly epidemiological surveillance report of SARS-CoV-2 infection, (August 15-21), 55,769 cases of COVID-19 were recorded (5,346 per million population: -25% weekly change), of which reinfections concern the 22% of infections. The total number of infections since the beginning of the pandemic amounts to 4,712,025 of which 51.% are women.

The R1 for the territory based on cases is estimated at 0.92.

The total number of infections since the beginning of the pandemic amounts to 4,654,737 of which 51.9% are women .

But if we subtract from this number (i.e. 4,654,737) the total number of cases that EODY had reported in the previous week (August 8-14, 2022 ) and it was 4,654,737, then it follows that the number of cases in the week of 15- August 21, 2022 it was increased ie 57,288 and not 55,769 as announced by EODY ..

Regarding the total number of admissions to the territory's hospitals in the reference week, there were 1,527 patients (7-day m.o.: 218, -22% weekly change), while the total number of discharges amounted to 1,474 patients (7-day m.o.: 211, - 29% weekly change). The number of intubated patients by the end of the reference week is 132 (65.2% men) with a median age of 70 years and 95.5% having an underlying disease and/or age of 70 years or older.

Regarding deaths, the EODY announced that 258 deaths of COVID-19 patients were recorded (25 per million population: -11% weekly change), while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 32,335 deaths have been recorded, with 95.9% having an underlying diseases and/or age 70 years or older.

But if again from the total of 32,335 deaths we subtract the total number of deaths that EODY announced last week which was 32,028 then the weekly number of deaths amounts to 307 and not 258 .

Therefore, the 307 deaths give an average of 44 deaths per day.

Greek media allege “two registration systems,” doubt credibility of official Covid-19 data

Two conservative mainstream newspapers set the management of the pandemic in Greece on fire on Sunday as they published reports alleging that there is a second system of registration of Covid-19 patients in the country. The reports imply that neither the epidemiologists who analyze the pandemic data and recommend measures nor the Prime Minister who takes the final decisions are informed in time about the course of the coronavirus in the country. The reports are publish as Greece has been recording an average of 100 daily deaths since November 21, and increase of intubations even in regions where there is a lockdown since November 3.

The reports create serious concern about the reliability of the daily data released by the National Health Organization (EODY), data that they build the basis of the measures suggestions by the epidemiologists.

ΕΟΔΥ: 667 επιβεβαιωμένα κρούσματα σήμερα και 8 νέοι θάνατοι

Στα 667 είναι τα κρούσματα σήμερα 20/10, όπως τα ανακοίνωσε ο Γκίκας Μαγιορκίνης. Σύμφωνα με την ανακοίνωση έχουν καταγραφεί 8 νέοι θάνατοι από κορονοϊό το τελευταίο 24ωρο στην Ελλάδα.

ΕΟΔΥ: 482 επιβεβαιωμένα κρούσματα σήμερα και δέκα νέοι θανάτοι

Τα κρούσματα σήμερα 17/10 είναι 482 όπως τα ανακοίνωσε ο ΕΟΔΥ. Επίσης έχουν καταγραφεί δέκα νέοι θάνατοι το τελευταίο 24ωρο στην Ελλάδα. Δείτε αναλυτικά την ανακοίνωση του ΕΟΔΥ: Τα νέα εργαστηριακά επιβεβαιωμένα κρούσματα της νόσου είναι 482, εκ των οποίων 46 συνδέονται με γνωστές συρροές και 19 εντοπίστηκαν κατόπιν ελέγχων στις πύλες εισόδου της χώρας. Ο συνολικός αριθμός των κρουσμάτων ανέρχεται σε 24932 (ημερήσια μεταβολή +2.0%), εκ των οποίων 55.6% άνδρες. Οι νέοι θάνατοι ασθενών με COVID-19 είναι 10, ενώ από την έναρξη της επιδημίας έχουν καταγραφεί συνολικά 500 θάνατοι. Η διάμεση ηλικία των ασθενών που απεβίωσαν είναι 79 έτη. Ο αριθμός των ασθενών που νοσηλεύονται διασωληνωμένοι είναι 83 (71.1% άνδρες).

ΕΟΔΥ: 508 επιβεβαιωμένα κρούσματα σήμερα – Οχτώ νέοι θάνατοι το τελευταίο 24ωρο στην Ελλάδα μας.

Νέο αρνητικό ρεκόρ σημειώθηκε σήμερα 16/10 στην Ελλάδα μιας και ο ΕΟΔΥ ανακοίνωσε 508 νέα κρούσματα του κορονοϊού και 8 ακόμη θανάτους. Για πρώτη φορά η Ελλάδα έσπασε το φράγμα των 500 κρουσμάτων μέσα σε ένα 24ωρο. Ολόκληρη η ανακοίνωση του ΕΟΔΥ: Σήμερα ανακοινώνουμε 508 νέα κρούσματα του νέου ιού στη χώρα, εκ των οποίων 64 συνδέονται με γνωστές συρροές και 12 εντοπίστηκαν κατόπιν ελέγχων στις πύλες εισόδου της χώρας. Ο συνολικός αριθμός των κρουσμάτων είναι 24.450, εκ των οποίων το 55.6% άνδρες. 3.454 (14.1%) θεωρούνται σχετιζόμενα με ταξίδι από το εξωτερικό και 9893 (40.5%) είναι σχετιζόμενα με ήδη γνωστό κρούσμα. 81 συμπολίτες μας νοσηλεύονται διασωληνωμένοι. Η διάμεση ηλικία τους είναι 67 ετών. 24 (29.6%) είναι γυναίκες και οι υπόλοιποι άνδρες. To 95.1%, των διασωληνωμένων, έχει υποκείμενο νόσημα ή είναι ηλικιωμένοι 70 ετών και άνω. 255 ασθενείς έχουν εξέλθει από τις ΜΕΘ. Τέλος, έχουμε 8 ακόμα καταγεγραμμένους θανάτους και 490 θανάτους συνολικά στη χώρα. 184 (37.6%) γυναίκες και οι υπόλοιποι άνδρες. Η διάμεση ηλικία των θανόντων συμπολιτών μας ήταν τα 79 έτη και το 96.3% είχε κάποιο υποκείμενο νόσημα ή/και ηλικία 70 ετών και άνω.

Κλιμάκια του ΕΟΔΥ στην πλατεία Βικτωρίας – 21 επιβεβαιωμένα κρούσματα κορονοϊού

Κορονοϊός: Δωρεάν τεστ σε πολίτες στην πλατεία Βικτωρίας  Κλιμάκια του ΕΟΔΥ πραγματοποίησαν σήμερα, Πέμπτη 15/10, δωρεάν rapid τεστ σε πολίτες, στην πλατεία Βικτωρίας στο κέντρο της Αθήνας. Διενεργήθηκαν 496 έλεγχοι, εκ των οποίων ανευρέθησαν εικοσιένα θετικά κρούσματα κορoνοϊού, επτά αφορούν σε Έλληνες και εννέα σε αλλοδαπούς (12 άνδρες και 9 γυναίκες), με διάμεση ηλικία τα 27.6 έτη. Οι ηλικίες αυτές επιβεβαιώνουν για ακόμη μία φορά πως ο κορονοϊός δεν έχει ηλικίες και πως όλοι μπορούν να προσβληθούν από αυτόν ανεξαρτήτως αν εμφανίσουν συμπτώματα ή όχι.

ΕΟΔΥ: 280 επιβεβαιωμένα κρούσματα σήμερα – Δεκατρείς νέοι θάνατοι

Στα 280 είναι τα κρούσματα σήμερα 11/10 που έχουν καταγραφεί στην Ελλάδα, όπως τα ανακοίνωσε ο ΕΟΔΥ. Σύμφωνα με την ανακοίνωση έχουν καταγραφεί  13νέοι θάνατοι το τελευταίο 24ωρο. Αναλυτικά η ανακοίνωση του ΕΟΔΥ Σήμερα ανακοινώνουμε 280 νέα κρούσματα του νέου ιού στη χώρα, εκ των οποίων 41 συνδέονται με γνωστές συρροές και 25 εντοπίστηκαν κατόπιν ελέγχων στις πύλες εισόδου της χώρας. Ο συνολικός αριθμός των κρουσμάτων είναι 22358, εκ των οποίων το 55.7% άνδρες. 3271 (14.6%) θεωρούνται σχετιζόμενα με ταξίδι από το εξωτερικό και 9093 (40.7%) είναι σχετιζόμενα με ήδη γνωστό κρούσμα. 93 συμπολίτες μας νοσηλεύονται διασωληνωμένοι. Η διάμεση ηλικία τους είναι 68 ετών. 26 (28.0%) είναι γυναίκες και οι υπόλοιποι άνδρες. To 91.4%, των διασωληνωμένων, έχει υποκείμενο νόσημα ή είναι ηλικιωμένοι 70 ετών και άνω. 238 ασθενείς έχουν εξέλθει από τις ΜΕΘ. Τέλος, έχουμε 13 ακόμα καταγεγραμμένους θανάτους και 449 θανάτους συνολικά στη χώρα. 169 (37.6%) γυναίκες και οι υπόλοιποι άνδρες. Η διάμεση ηλικία των θανόντων συμπολιτών μας ήταν τα 79 έτη και το 96.4% είχε κάποιο υποκείμενο νόσημα ή/και ηλικία 70 ετών και άνω.
