Sprite showcase part 2
Our last 2 boys are done and staged!

And the sometimes angry, but very cute Octavio by @nimbusphoenix 2 days left! Practically the entire game is staged and coded, some polish and editing is still left, but everything is coming together!
We use a combination of photos, sprites and sound effects to achieve the combination of travel sim and chibi sea creatures. Most places you visit is based on a real life location. (Gui by lunachaili https://gumroad.com/lunachaili)
Update from the Battlefront 5/20/2021
I know I’ve been quiet on Tumblr, so I wanted to pop in with a status report and to let you that I am in fact still alive and still STILL STILL working on my projects.
SO this is where I am in progress!
The Closet Door writing is still 2/3 finished. I’ve entered what I like to call “Editing Hell” with Arun and Octavius’ routes, but hopefully I can be done with that soon. The assets are all drawn, but I’m about 70% done coloring in all the CGs and mini CGs which are all that are left. The UI design overhaul is done- just getting ready to code all that in into the new build in Renpy- hopefully with cleaner and less glitchy code than before.
It has truly been one delay after the other to get here.
Dental work knocked me off my feet for a while, my car broke and I’m still underway getting that fixed, my tablet died on me and I had to get that replaced, raining in the house and at the time of this post, my fridge decided to give up the ghost. I mean things happen. But boy don’t they suck when they do. I’m still kicking though. Honestly, at this point, I think I’ve gone mad with determination! That’s okay- I will take on the universe if that’s what it takes.
Bring it universe! My pen is my soul! ...huh... I swear that sounds familiar....
Anyway, there’s also some other cool news going on!
The Indie Otome Reddit is up and running!
I’m so excited about this community! It’s compact right now, but still growing quicker than I anticipated! A lot of fans of the indie genre have expressed a need to discuss indie games with like fans and ask questions and have discussions about games they enjoy, follow and support. Devs in the indie otome group have discussed wanting to reach their audience in a welcome setting that is pro indie, as the indie community is very vast and sometimes it’s a wild ride narrowing your market down in such an already niche market. So it’s just so much fun to see fans and devs interreacting eagerly, and for myself I am excited to learn about so many titles and expand my library with fun and engaging otome (jmb is also an otome fangirl- didn’t you know?)
I do hope to see you around there as well as here!

I've got some spots in the game where Faun can ask characters in the game about in-game lore. And I was wondering about lore I should add versus lore I should wait to release in the lorebook. 🤔
I posted the question in Tuff Mallow Discord, where I'm most active (and I am always on Discord) but I'll also ask here.
What is something-a wonder or a question you think Faun should ask about Myst and the characters? Perhaps a question about the trials? What would it be if it were you?
