Key Words About Your Deity and What They Mean Zephyrus/Ζέφυρος - God of the West Wind and Harbinger of Spring, He and Persephone work together to make sure Spring happens just the way it should

Spring/Ανοιξη - The Second Season of the Year, a time for growth and renewal. It’s full of migration and change and new starts. Lord Zephyrus is responsible for this season.

Anemoi/Άνεμοι - This literally translates to Winds, but in this situation it refers to the Four Wind Gods: Zephyrus, Eurus, Notos, and Boreas. Each Brother oversees a different cardinal direction, the winds that blow from that direction, a season, and a type of weather.

Tiger/Τίγρη - One of Zephyrus’ Sacred Animals, the tiger is known for its swiftness and ability to hold a grudge, which is something Lord Zephyrus can relate to. Some sources claim He’s the father of tigers, while others happily refute the idea

Swan/κύκνος - Another of Zephyrus’ Sacred Animals, it’s said that He often sings with the Swans and has made a pact with them to always do so

Eos/Ηως - Goddess of the Dawn and Mother of Zephyrus, She’s Fantastic and Deserves More Appreciation

Astraeus/Αστραιος - Titan of Stars and Planets, and Father of Zephyrus. We can thank Him for Astrology and yes, He also deserves more appreciation

Hymn #3 To Eos, Goddess of the Dawn

I begin my song to Eos, yellow-robed bringer of the first light who dispels the darkness as you ascend the sky from the river Okheanos. Immortal Bright One, Mother of the four winds, early-rising and radiant goddess grant your new-born light to the Earth and honor to my song!

To you, brilliant goddess of the heavens borne on golden wings, hail! Morning has come and I will remember you and another song as well.

I beging my song to Eos, winged dawn: heralded by the morning star, you break through the darkness, rosy then golden. Mother of the Winds and Planets, you dwell by night in your palace beyond the eastern edge of the River Okheanos.

hemera taps my shoulder and i am a pillar of rubble piled up before the rising sun, she fills my cracks and my flaws and i do not feel quite so beyond hope she is light, she is silent, golden and hollow-boned and smelling of citrus fruits, trailing saffron feathers and silk scarves coloured noon-sky blue hemera dances, leaps, stomps across the sands of time and i must run after her before the tide comes in to wash her marks smooth, breathless and dizzy i reach for her she does not look at me when she says, in that voice like dust motes through shattered glass and crumbling temple walls, "only change is constant" -15.5.16 [to eos hemera]

you snatch away the ache of heady sleep the dark that would consume me eternally and i awake to a radiance enough to burn these weak eyes to silent ash but still i gaze upon you, goddess though you would bring me to tears the light of day is cleansing, scorching purifying as i bathe in it, soft eos you trace rainbows on my skin as i in turn trace glories around you quiet hymns inked in hazy clouds etched into the terra cotta rooftops that you light in shades of rosy gold and scarlet -- for some reason i'm having trouble answering asks right now so @ eos anon
