Colorshifting cards to the modern color pie? You mean like an update to Unstable Mutation?
: )
Even though it's no longer a relevant question, do you think Infect could've been a Core Set returning mechanic, like Convoke or Exalted? Or would you rather develop it over a whole block?
Infect is not the mechanic I want new players starting with.
You talk about always working towards your dream job. Now that you've achieved yours, do you have advice on that front?
Once you have it, don't be tricked into giving it up. If I hadn't been vigilant, there's a good chance momentum would have drifted me to a different job. For example. I could have tried to become the person who oversees the person that does my job, but I wanted to make Magic not manage the person who does.
If I have R&D's Secret Lair out, do older card types like Summon, Interrupt, etc. count for Delirium or Emrakul's cost?
No.
I have Archangel Avacyn and another creature. My opponent swings with some creatures, and I block a Permeating Mass with Avacyn and the other creature dies blocking some other creature. Will Avacyn still flip at the next upkeep, and if so, what will she be?
Both Avacyn’s second trigger and Permeating Mass’s trigger go on the stack at the same time. At the beginning of the next upkeep, Avacyn’s delayed trigger will resolve and transform her. The card will physically transform to its Avacyn, the Purifier side, but it’s still affected by the ability which makes it a copy of Permeating Mass, and so it’s still a Permeating Mass and thus there’s no damage trigger.
If Sigarda's Aid and an Equipment enter the battlefield at the same time, while I already have a creature out, will the equipment become attached? How about if the creature also enters with them?
Yes to all of your questions.
Permanents that enter the battlefield at the same time all see each other enter the battlefield and trigger appropriately.
In your example, Sigarda’s Aid sees the equipment ETB and its triggered ability triggers. When you put that trigger on the stack, the creature that entered along with the equipment and Sigarda’s Aid is on the battlefield and thus a legal target for the trigger.
My birthday was on Thursday. Do you have any trivia on one of my favorite Legacy archetypes, Reanimator?
After years of tagging on riders to reanimation targets, development decided to start just raising the cost of reanimation effects instead.
Happy Birthday!
My favorite weird card is Dual Nature from Prophecy
Dual Nature’s second ability applies to all token creatures with the same name as the nontoken creature that left the battlefield, not just creatures controlled by the same player as the nontoken creature.
