I went into this rewatch/first watch fully expecting to root for Gina and Ricky, but scratch that. I'm all for Gina and EJ now. even though I know he's leaving at the end of the school year.

the nostalgia is strong with 2x08. I remember watching this episode for the first time with my sister, all the crazy revelations and developments. and then we both completely lost out shit when Elijah woke up at the end. good times 😌 and the story is finally getting interesting with the introduction of the Originals
