Royal Mail!
Bit of a wait on this one. Still nice though!
I was writing down the royal events on my calendar today when I remembered I had sent The Queen and Philip an anniversary card and hadn’t heard back yet. I wondered what had happened to it. Well here it is.
It’s my first letter from the British, since most of the main royals (Charles, Wills, Kate) send those picture post-card things (which I love). I do like that the lady-in-waiting signs them and address you by name at the beginning.
This was a little bit of a longer wait than usual for something this simple. I imagine they’re still catching up on her birthday replies and it’s all hands on deck for that. It was a quick delivery time from the date written to it arriving in my box, though.
Not much to say about this one. The paper is nice quality. It’s soft (weird?) and made it in pristine condition thankfully. I kind of hope next year they do an actual card for their 70th anniversary but I doubt it.
