desk situation!

i don't actually have a desk of my own. i use our dining table for heavy works and long hours, and my bed otherwise. it's not ideal for my back, but we have to make do, no?

Entry No. 17:

Last entry (bago ko ipasa). Spent the entire day working on my plates, trying very very very very hard to meet deadlines. Isang linggo na lang 'tong sem, but it feels like foreverrrrr.

Top left: Little study I made for my TFA154 plate. Top right: Recycling old paint tube caps. Bottom left: Kamay ko sa ibabaw ng electric hot compress. Woke up with so much pain in my hand, it worried me. Bottom right: Snack time!

Dami ko pang kakilalang may sakit ngayon. Nakakalungkot. Hirap mag-focus, panget ng headspace.

Anyway, documenting and taking photos of my surroundings comes naturally to me and are things that I very much love doing, so I felt very much connected with this meaningful project. Thank you, Sir Daki! And thank you po for the wonderful lectures and readings :) I was able to enlist po in one of your classes for next sem hehe see you again soon, Sir! Until then, take care po and stay safe :)

P.S. I think the fact that we can turn moments into art is really fucking cool.

P.P.S. When I said "last entry," I meant just for the meantime, maybe. I might continue this visual diary... just because. We'll see!

Cause of death: academic requirements and deadlines.

a couple of art materials i've been using!

my creative process has been through a lot of ups and downs this year. fulfilling academic requirements was (still is) very stressful in itself, but, personally speaking, having covid, losing loved ones, and going through a breakup made it 10000x more challenging. i couldn't keep up, didn't know how to cope.

but i survived.

i made personal drawings. i took photographs. i watched movies and shows. i listened to music. i danced.

so, here's to art, in every form. and to artists, from every field.

Entry No. 11

Habang nasa pila sa grocery, nakita ko 'tong malaking supot na puno ng tubes. Tinanong ko si Daddy kung ano kaya yun. "Baka yung gitna ng rolyo ng resibo," sagot niya. So naisipan kong subukang humingi para sa isa sa mga final plates ko this sem. Gusto ko kasi sana recycled materials at found objects ang gamitin ko para dun. At isa kasi sa elements nung gagawin ko ay Greek columns, at mukhang saktong sakto 'tong tubes na 'to! Humingi ako sa isang empleyado at hinayaan naman niya 'kong kumuha ng kahit na ilan. "Wala naman pong problema," sabi pa niya nang may ngiti.

Sobrang tuwa ko sa nakuha kong 'to :D Sana maging okay yung project ko :)

Hassle lang talaga kasi nasa bakasyon na utak ko huhu
