Internet In Real Life: Italian Village Turned Into Web 0.0 By Biancoshock
Internet In Real Life: Italian Village Turned Into Web 0.0 By Biancoshock
Believe it or not, there are some places that the Internet and mobile connections don’t exist the way you would want them too. There is one small Italian village that is the perfect example. Filled with a large population of elderly, this community has decided to make the internet come to them in terms of physical locations. There are various set ups around the town that are physical…

'Web 0.0'
(EN) Civitacampomarano is a small village in the province of Campobasso with just 400 souls, mainly elderly. In this village, rich in folk traditions, Internet is a partially unknown world: mobile phones have difficulty working and the data connection is practically nonexistent.
The provocative idea is to show that these virtual functions, considered by the vast majority of the population as necessary and essential to everyday life, also exist in the country, where the connection is hard to reach: this is a sort of Internet "in real life" able to demonstrate that in traditions and popular culture these instruments, in other ways, have always existed and have allowed people and families to have cultural exchanges, meeting at the bar and living the town's streets."

SOCIAL STRIKE (start 08.02.2016)
It’s a moment of virtual protest against a current system that just wants to reward those who have more visibility, more “likes”, more virtual appeal.
If you’re not present you don’t exist.
I’ve already expressed in a previous performance my thoughts about social visibility and sponsored posts; I’ve never paid anyone for my Art, let alone I’d pay the school taxes of Zuckerberg’s daughter.
My Public Activism will always remain visible in the street or on my new official website: www.biancoshock.com
This is my Social Strike on all my social networks.
Until a short time ago a strike was a moment to bring people together, to walk together in the city and express a common dissent. I decided to use the same typical futility of the Net and start a strike that is realized in my room, in passively silence, behind a screen.
If you want to partecipate just take the photos here and use them for your Social Strike.

#Brandalism 2015 - Paris
Over 600 artworks critiquing the corporate takeover of the #cop21 climate talks were installed in advertising spaces across Paris friday night - ahead of the United Nations summit beginning this Monday.
Amidst the French state of emergency banning all public gatherings following the terrorist attacks on 13 November in Paris, the #Brandalism project has worked with #parisians to insert unauthorised artworks across the city that aim to highlight the links between advertising, consumerism, fossil fuel dependency and #climatechange.

Through a minimal gesture of cut and rotate the sign of right of way you get a shape that reminds a paper boat.
This unstable and precarious boat represents the actual tragic situation of migrants.
Before starting with disgusting debates on who are the migrants, on their potential danger, that they "invade" our cities, the priority is to understand that with a simple "welcome" (which is free) we can restore hope and dignity to all those who didn't choose to born in countries ruled by violence and war.
